Our most popular FireGuard® glove to date. The Commander was the first glove style on the market to incorporate CR0SSTECH DIRECT GRIP glove inserts and is the best selling CROSSTECH® DIRECT GRIP glove style in the world.
FEATURES: Outer glove is 100% DuraSoft® cowhide. Dexterity improves with each use. Two layer glove allows better "feel". Our longest lasting glove means you spend less money on gloves over time.
COMFORT: Truer fit allows you to complete tasks without having to remove your gloves.
The DuraSoft® leather shell absorbs 50% less water than other leather, reducing weight on hands to help lessen firefighter fatigue. Thus these gloves dry faster than those made with untreated leather.
The CROSSTECH® DIRECT GRIP® glove inserts provide penetration resistant against blood, body fluids, and NFPA common chemicals, as well as superior performances unmatched by any other waterproof, breathable barrier product. The CROSSTECH® DIRECT GRIP® glove insert combines the moisture barrier element and the thermal liner into one unit for a more flexible, streamlined insert.
SAFETY: The CROSSTECH® DIRECT GRIP® glove inserts maintain their integrity after repeated exposure to radiant and conductive heat. They remained waterproof after exposure to 500° F for five minutes. Two widely used competitive products failed after this exposure.
CROSSTECH® DIRECT GRIP® Glove inserts provide superior abrasion resistance. They remain waterproof after 10,000 cycles of liner against shell—five times better than competitive polyurethane-based breathable product. (Universal Wear Test Method, FTM 191A-5302.)
