8002 FireGuard Defender Firefighter Gloves
The original blue glove...The FireGuard® Defender uses a CROSSTECH® glove insert to provide a traditional 3 layer firefighter glove. This glove set the standard for hand protection in the fire service industry. The Defender offers great durability and provides superior protection against heat and cuts.
COMFORT: Newly tailored patterns maximize fingertip contact and control. Truer fit allows you to complete tasks without having to remove your gloves.
Inner layer of flame resistant knitted fabric insulates hands from heat and cold.
SAFETY: The CROSSTECH® glove insert provides penetration resistance against blood, body fluids, and NFPA common chemicals, as well as superior performance to any other waterproof, breathable barrier product. Gore's "intimate" bicomponent membrane technology is unmatched for durable liquid penetration resistance and high moisture vapor breathability.
Our premium, slightly heavier leather offers maximum protection from heat and abrasion as well as enhanced dexterity.
Gloves are lock stitched with Kevlar® thread.

The FireGuard® Defender meets the glove requirements of NFPA 1971 standard on protective ensemble for structural fire fighting current edition and/or Federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.156 (e)(4) effective 7-1-85 & California OSHA title 8, GISO section 3407, effective 5-4-85. CE certified.
